Today at the UEFA headquarters in Nion, the draw for the first edition of the League of Nations in the women`s competition was made.
This new format will be carried out in three leagues, where the participating teams are divided into the draw pots according to their positions in the ranking of the coefficients published after the end of the group stage of the World Cup 2023 qualifications.
Kosovo is part of the C League, while based on today’s draw, it has been drawn into Group C5, where North Macedonia and Bulgaria are also included.
The women’s football manager, Valbona Gashi Uka, was present at the draw.
League C is divided into five groups, where the first four groups have four teams each, while the group where Kosovo is included has three teams. The winners of these five groups will be promoted directly to League B, while the three best second-placed teams from the five groups will play in a play-off against the three best second-placed teams in League B groups.
The matches are scheduled to be played on September 20-26, October 25-31, and November 29-December 5, 2023.
