Before leaving the country, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy wrote about the visit and the meetings he had in Kosovo.
In a Twitter post, Murphy said that Kosovo gets most of its energy from two coal-fired power plants, RTKlive reports.
The American senator also addressed the pollution in Kosovo and said that it is huge.
“To help solve this situation, Congress is funding a plan to build solar power here. USAID Administrator Samantha Power was here last week to announce a new solar auction. We talked with Prime Minister Kurti about how to expand this initiative”, he said.
